Speeding Up Login with Entra ID when using TruGrid Desktop Connector

The Entra ID Login Management feature in TruGrid enables persistent authentication for Entra ID users when using TruGrid Desktop Connector.

When enabled, it allows the TruGrid Desktop Connector to benefit from the Entra ID "Keep me signed in (KMSI)" feature of Entra ID, which allows users to remain signed into an application or service even after closing and reopening their web browser. It works by setting a persistent cookie on the user's device. This reduces the need to re-enter credentials, enhancing user experience on trusted devices.

NOTE: This feature is supported in both Entra ID connected domains and hybrid domains. KMSI must already be enabled in Entra ID in order for this setting to work when enabled in TruGrid.

Prerequisites

  • An active Entra ID connected domain or a hybrid domain joined to Entra ID.
  • TruGrid Desktop Connector installed and updated to the latest supported version.
  • Entra ID or hybrid domain users added to the TG-USERS security group.
  • The feature needs to be enabled by a Root Admin or another TruGrid account with Admin privileges.
