How to enable remote access on endpoints


Windows Endpoints need to have RDP enabled in order to receive inbound RDP requests. On the endpoint, please adjust the Allow Remote Connections settings as shown below. Make sure to test connectivity from the server you install the TruGrid Sentry agent onto; try to RDP from that server to this endpoint.


Please also ensure the User you plan to assign to the endpoint has sufficient permission to log into it via an RDP session.


See the below step by step guide for ensuring the machine has remote access enabled and the user trying to login has permission to login via RDP.


  1. Open the "Settings" app
  2. Search for "Remote Desktop" (1)
  3. In the Remote Desktop settings, make sure the feature is on (2)
  4. Make sure the user you will be connecting with is added to "Remote desktop users" (3,4,5):
