# VDI Optimization for Zoom - How to Configure Zoom VDI

This document explains how to setup Zoom VDI so that when using Zoom inside a Remote Desktop over RDP, local audio and video devices are visible inside the Remote Desktop, while all audio and video processing are done on the local endpoint.

| **NOTE: ** Zoom requires that the Zoom VDI Client and Plug-ins are of the same version



1. **Configure LOCAL ENDPOINT**
On the local endpoint where you are connecting from, download and install the latest Zoom Universal Plug-In

**NOTE: ** Refer to the Zoom URLs above for latest version

2. **Configure your SESSION HOST (REMOTE DESKTOP)**
On your Remote Computer, download and install the latest Zoom VDI software

**NOTE: ** Refer to the Zoom URLs above for latest version.

3. **Connect to Remote Desktop**
* a.	Connect to Remote Desktop via TruGrid or RDP
* b.	Join a Zoom meeting - this will automatically open the Zoom VDI Workspace App
* c.	Connect your Audio and Video that have been redirected from local endpoint

**NOTE: ** See below example of Zoom VDI Workspace App operation inside a Remote Desktop.
