VDI Oprimization for Zoom - How to Configure Zoom VDI



This document explains how to setup Zoom VDI so that when using Zoom inside a Remote Desktop over RDP, local audio and video devices are visible inside the Remote Desktop, while all audio and video processing are done on the local endpoint.

NOTE: Zoom requires that the Zoom VDI Client and Plug-ins are of the same verison



Configure LOCAL ENDPOINT
On the local endpoint where you are connecting from, download and install the latest Zoom Universal Plug-In

Configure your SESSION HOST (REMOTE DESKTOP)
On your Remote Computer, download and install the latest Zoom VDI software

Here is the latest version as of July 2024. https://zoom.us/download/vdi/6.0.10.25100/ZoomInstallerVDI.msi?archType=x64



Connect to Remote Desktop
a. Connect to Remote Desktop via TruGrid or RDP
b. Join a Zoom meeting - this will automatically open the Zoom VDI Workspace App
c. Connect your Audio and Video that have been redirected from local endpoint
