# TruGrid Mac Web Connector Setup Guide

# Setup TruGrid Mac Web for Secure RDP

Please follow the steps outlined below to setup **TruGrid Mac Web Connector**, however, we recommend you use the [Mac Desktop Connector](/en/article/where-are-the-trugrid-desktop-connectors-5u98cm/) if you have OS X version 11.5 or newer.

| Before getting started, make sure that you have installed [Microsoft RDP software from Mac AppStore](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-remote-desktop/id1295203466?mt=12)


1. **Install the TruGrid Authenticator**
* Skip this step if using Azure AD login. Go to step 2.

* From your smart phone, install the TruGrid Authenticator from the App Store ([iOS](https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=1383287900&mt=8) or [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trugrid.tgauthenticator)). Or use a [compatible authenticator app](/en/article/what-authenticator-apps-work-with-trugrid-33t38m/).

2. Install [TruGrid Web Launcher](https://www.trugrid.com/downloads/macweblauncher)
* Click CONTINUE on the install dialog

* Enter your Local Mac login to authorize the installation and click INSTALL SOFTWARE

* Click CLOSE when installation is finished. Move the installer to TRASH when asked.

3. Login to the [TruGrid Portal](https://app.trugrid.com/login)
* Enter your login name and then select **CONTINUE**

* Enter your password and then select **CONTINUE**

4. Setup your **MFA (Multifactor Authentication)**
* Skip this step if using Azure AD login. Go to step 5

* From your smart phone, open the **TruGrid Authenticator** mobile app
* Select the **+** sign on the top right. This will open your camera. Accept any prompt from your phone to allow TruGrid to use your camera to scan MFA setup QR code.
* Use your smart phone to scan the TruGrid QR code displayed on your computer browser
* From the **TruGrid Authenticator** on your Smart Phone, select **ALLOW.**

* Enter your mobile phone number and activate MFA. Note: You can always [reset your MFA](/en/article/how-to-reset-your-mfa-1ntj0kw/) in the future
* When done, your browser will take you to the TruGrid Workspace and display the desktop(s) assigned to you


5. Launch the remote desktop
* Click once on the assigned desktop 
* Accept the End User Agreement (if the first time launching a desktop)
* Your remote desktop should begin to open 

**NOTE:** If your desktop does not load, it may be because the Microsoft RDP application is awaiting your input. Drag any visible windows aside and respond to the Microsoft RDP prompt

* Click the desktop again if necessary. Your remote desktop should begin to open.

* Please provide your remote login username and password. This can be different from your TruGrid login depending on the environment that you are connecting to.

* OPTIONAL - Save Remote Certificate to speed up future login

* RDP session should now load
