TruGrid Analytics and Reports

(Users - Sessions - Computers - Security - Licensing - Assignments - Customer Domains)

On the TruGrid dashboard, the ANALYTICS menu (under COMPANY or CUSTOMERS menus - see below), opens the reports dashboard. Analytics currently includes the following:


  • USERS - Active Directory and EntraID Authentication and RDP Connection information
  • SESSIONS - TruGrid login session and RDP Connection Attempts information
  • COMPUTERS - Computer Resources, Computer Groupings (Workstation & Server Pools), Directory Services, Operating System Information
  • SECURITY - Desktop Shortcut Status, Desktop Connector Timeout status, Stay Signed-in Status, Remember Me Status, MFA Type and Status
  • LICENSING - Total Allocated Licenses, Users Reporting into TruGrid Dashboard, License Over / Under Allocation
  • ASSIGNMENTS - User and User Groups to Computer Resources, Computer and Computer Groups to Users and User Groups, User and User Groups to Applications
  • CUSTOMER DOMAINS - Security and Domain validation status analytics for MSPs and their customers


Times listed on the dashboard and exported CSVs are in UTC time zone.


The Analytics dashboard reflects RDP connection information, such as when a user initiates an RDP session. Detailed RDP Connection statuses are planned for future release.


USERS

See below numbered steps and associated screenshot below.

  1. Select COMPANY or select CUSTOMERS - > Choose a customer domain
  2. Select ANALYTICS - this page reveals User Name, User UPN and User last sign in information
  3. Filter the report by choosing View by in order to displays list of Users or User Groups
  4. Click Generate Report to download a .csv file which include: User Name, User UPN and User last sign in information


Analytics Dashboard

SESSIONS

TRUGRID & ACTIVE DIRECTORY LOGINS and RDP Connection attempts

  1. Select SESSIONS in order to display Users sign ins and RDP connection attempts for last 7 days
  2. Filter the report by choosing the desired report time period
  3. Filter the report by choosing the desired list of users to include (by default it includes all users in domain)
  4. Click VIEW DETAILS under either of the graphs to review more data about USER AUTHENTICATION or RDP CONNECTION INFORMATION

COMPUTERS

Computers and Pooled Computer / Server groups


  • Computers section displays Computers, Computer groups, If this computer is brokered by Sentry or SecureConnect and OS version of remote host
  • Click View Details in order to obtain list of Computers or Computer group that belong to current Domain in TruGrid

LICENSING

There is option to Adjust License allocation between Primary and Customer domains, see Adjust Licensing button


  • In order to export detailed licensing report, please use the GENERATE REPORT button

ASSIGNMENTS

On this tab you can view and export information in regards to User and User Groups and how they are associated with Computer and App resources:


As with other Analytics, you can generate a report regarding users and their assignments:

  1. Select "Download CSV Report"
  2. Select the type of report you'd like to generate (Screenshot 1)
  3. On the next page (Screenshot 2) select the columns and customer domains you need and click export
  4. Finally, you will be able to download the timestamped report on the final page (Screenshot 3)

Customer Domains

This tab will allow MSPs to review the following statuses of their customer domains:

  • Domain Status (active / pending)
  • Active Directory Setup (On-premises / EntraID / Not set up)
  • Forgot Password Status
  • Desktop Shortcut Status
  • Desktop Connector Session Timeout setting
  • Remember Me Status
  • Stay Signed-In Status
  • Geo Blocking Status
