# Manually Uninstall TruGrid Sentry Service

In case you have to manually uninstall/unregister the Sentry service, below are instructions.
* Go to Services and verify that the TruGrid Sentry service exists
* Disable the service
* Go to an Administrative Command Prompt
* Run the command: sc query trugrid_sentry
* Verify service exists. See below example of results.

* Run the command: sc delete trugrid_sentry
* Go to Services, refresh and verify the TruGrid Sentry service no longer exists
* Install updated version of [TruGrid Sentry Agent](/en/article/trugrid-sentry-installation-steps-1of2etj/)
