# How to manually delete Sentry after unsuccessful uninstall?


# How to manually uninstall TruGrid Sentry

1. Open Windows Services (services.msc)
2. Find and stop these two services: **TruGrid Sentry** and **TruGrid Sentry Health Monitor**
3. Locate and delete the contents of the Sentry folder at: **C:\Program Files\TruGrid\**
4. Delete **TruGrid Sentry** and **TruGrid Health Monitor** services by following step **5**.
5. Open elevated **Command prompt **(cmd.exe) and paste the following commands below
```
sc.exe delete trugrid_sentry
sc.exe delete trugrid_sentry_health_monitor
```

| Server reboot is required after you complete the manual uninstall procedure

6. Open **Registry Editor** (regedit.exe) and locate the following path **HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products
7. Find the folder that has the key DisplayName **TruGrid Sentry** and remove it (please see the example below). The name of the Registry Key under products may vary. Please check to make sure you delete the one with **ProductName = TruGrid Sentry.**
