# Copy/Paste Not Working in RDP


# Copy/Paste Not Working in RDP

If Copy/Paste is not working at all in RDP, it could be due to a few reasons:
1. [GPO policies](/en/article/how-to-configure-rdp-settings-via-gpo-1b8hn6g/) on remote machine are preventing copy/paste
2. User deactivated Clipboard functionality when initialy [prompted](/en/article/reset-local-rdp-publisher-prompt-e65lfd/)
3. Windows rdpclip process is having issues. See below steps to remediate.
* Open task manager
* Go to Processes Tab
* Select rdpclip.exe
* Select End Process
* Go to Application Tab
* Select New Process
* Type rdpclip
* Press Ok
